In addition to our large array of products, we also offer customized services. Lewcott has the perfect technology to provide custom slitting, mixing, chopping, formulating and more per your requirements. Listed below are a few custom services we offer:

• Toll Coating – Lewcott utilizes vertical towers and horizontal tenter frames to coat a range of material from 1oz to 96oz and in widths ranging from 18” to 60”.  Standard resin systems include epoxy, phenolic and unsaturated polyester.  Other resin systems are available.

• Slitting – The slitting department can slit a variety of cotton, glass, films, foams, paper and thermoplastic fabrics in master roll widths ranging from 2” to 62” down to ½” slit rolls with a tolerance +/- 1/16”.

• Chopping – Lewcott has the ability to chop any dry coated material down to ½” x ½” square.

• Die Cutting – High tolerance, semi-automated die cutting machines are available to die cut pieces sized to custom specifications.

• Panel Cutting – Clean room facility with the ability to sheet panels sizes as large as 44”x50” down to 4” x 4”

• Prepreg Sheeting – Clean room facility with the ability to sheet roll prepreg as wide as 60” down to 12”x38”, 12”x50” and other custom sizes.

• Pressing – The pressing department utilizes vacuum press platens with the capability to press up to 50x54 laminates.

• Mixing – Several mixing stations are organized to provide aqueous and solvent systems in support direct resin sales, toll coating or full-package prepreg sales.

• Reactor Resins - With a 20 million pound manufacturing capacity and fully instrumented reactors, ranging from 500-3500 gal., Lewcott develops, manufactures and markets a variety of liquid phenolic systems.

• Lab Services – Available by arrangement to Lewcott’s customers, we are able to sample prepreg prototypes, perform lab-scale lamination and molding (press & vacuum), cross-sectional digital microscopy, and rheological evaluations.  Our lab also has the ability to perform mechanical testing at ambient and elevated temperatures and thermal analyses including TMA, TGA, DMA (torsional) and DSC.
