The Filtration Business pioneered the production of activated carbon media for odor removal applications long before pollution and environmental controls became a concern. Since then, we have refined our product offerings to include application-driven odor removal agents such as natural and synthetic zeolites, activated alumina, potassium carbonate, silica gels, and special catalysts for precisely defined applications.

ACTIVFILTER II ^TM is developed from Lewcott's unique method of impregnating a wide variety of substrates with activated carbon, long recognized as an effective odor adsorbing material.

Acting like a molecular magnet, activated carbon is a form of charcoal in which millions of pores are created to form an internal structure of interconnected capillary passages not much larger than the molecules that it adsorbs. The activated carbon attracts and holds these impurities on its internal surfaces even when the impurity is present in trace amounts.

Lewcott can supply ACTIVFILTER^TM media for gas, air, or liquid filtration.

ACTIVFILTER^TM media can be produced from a variety of different substrates including natural and synthetic, non-wovens, polyurethane foam, Reemay*, felt, and paper products.

Material can be manufactured with varied amounts of activated carbon, in combination with other active odor agents.

We can supply the entire package, in roll goods or die cut to fit your filter specifications, or custom coat materials supplied to us.

ZEOSORB^TM Specialty filter media designed for environments where ammonia is the prime contaminant. Our ZEOSORB^TM filter is impregnated with a naturally occuring earth mineral with a well documented affinity for adsorbing ammonia byproducts.

ANTIMICROBIAL Used on uncoated filter media or in conjunction with ACTIVFILTER^TM or ZEOSORB^TM, AEGISTM^TM Antimicrobial System brings a new dimension to indoor air quality. The AEGIS technology is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency. It is chemically bonded to the filter media giving a durable, permanent, non-migrating antimicrobial feature. It has proven effective controlling microorganisms and actively controls mold, mildew, fungi, yeasts, and gram (-) and (+) bacteria, including Legionella.
