Grinding Wheel Reinforcements & Liquid Thermosetting Resins
Lewcott’s Abrasive Reinforcements Business offers resin coated, open mesh, "scrim", fiberglass styles used for the reinforcement of resin bonded grinding wheels. These styles are grouped into six weight categories that are engineered to support your design requirements from thin cut-off to high speed cut-off and snagging applications. Style weights range from 1.6 to 32 ozs. per square yard with constructions ranging from 1 x 1 to 14 x 14 openings per inch.

Lewcott serves your needs by offering each style in roll good form, insuring maximum flexibility at your location, or as high tolerance die cut pieces sized to your specifications. Our glass styles are available as Plain; BNWF, an adhered black non-woven synthetic material; and LBP, an adhered 18 # paper especially suitable for vacuum pick up.
With Lewcott’s aggressive development and qualification of highest quality and cost effective fiberglass suppliers, we are able to offer a "standard" product line of coated glass with at least one "fit-for-use" style in each of our six weight classifications. These "standard" styles offer best value for your reinforcement dollar and are stocked for a quick response to your needs. Should your design requirements not be completely met with our "standard" product line please refer to our additional offering of "special" styles.
Both "standard" and "special" styles can be coated with any of Lewcott’s thermosetting resin types. We manufacture these resins to tight viscosity, flow, solids and reactivity specifications. Maintaining tight specifications on our resins translates into unmatched consistency when applied to your choice of fabric style.
These
resins, as well as other custom engineered resins, are also available to meet your liquid resin requirements.
