Specialty applications cover a wide range of uses within the industrial and recreational sectors. Fishing rods, kayak paddle shafts and various industrial components are manufactured using Lewcott Corporation’s broad base of resin system technology and process techniques. EP145 is a low temperature curing, high performance epoxy system. Capable of curing at 145ºF, EP145 can display Tg exceeding 350ºF when suitably post cured. EP145 is designed for high performance applications that require ultra low cure temperature or co-laminating with temperature sensitive materials, such as balsa wood. EP200 is a low temperature curing, rubber modified epoxy that cures in the 190ºF to 210ºF range. EP200 prepreg has the ability to snap cure at 275ºF in 10 minute dwells. Snap cure laminates have low void content and retain nearly identical performance properties. EP200 is self-adhesive to aramid honeycomb as well as other sandwich cores and can be used for a wide variety of structural applications. EP250 is a low temperature curing epoxy prepreg that cures in the 250ºF to 275ºF range. EP250 provides outstanding strength and stiffness making it suitable for a wide variety of structural applications. EP250 has good dielectric properties, making it suitable for use in radomes. EP251 is a low temperature curing toughened epoxy. EP251 cures in the 250ºF to 275ºF range. EP251 is applicable for a wide variety of structural components. EP251 is available on glass, aramid and carbon fabrics. EP252 is a low temperature curing, elastomer toughened epoxy that cures in the 235ºF to 275ºF range. EP252 is self-adhesive to aramid honeycomb. EP252 can be used in a wide variety of structural applications. EP254 is a low temperature curing, toughened epoxy that cures in the 235ºF to 275ºF range. Glass prepregs can co-laminate to carbon/epoxy prepregs without shear failure. EP254 is the most post formable composite prepreg system available today. EP350 is a 350ºF curing, modified epoxy that is self-extinguishing, passing the 60 second vertical ignition test listed in FAR 25.853. EP350 offers an excellent combination of toughness and high glass transition temperature. EP350 is capable of curing at temperatures as low as 275ºF and following a free standing post cure, display 300ºF Tg. EP385 is a 350ºF curing, epoxy system suitable for use in areas requiring extremely high temperature performance. Designed for use in aerospace, transportation, propulsion, and tolling applications. EP385 is a stable system and have very good tack and out time stability. EP385 displays a glass transition temperature of 385ºF. EP387 is a 365ºF curing, epoxy system suitable for use in areas requiring extremely high temperature performance and fire resistance. EP385 is a dry, tack free prepreg and displays a glass transition temperature of 355ºF without a post cure. EL314 is a 350ºF curing epoxy that is used in high temperature electrical and structural applications. EP428 is a 365ºF curing epoxy system suitable for use in areas requiring extremely high temperature performance and fire resistance. EP428 displays a glass transition temperature of 410ºF. FM-3 is a modified phenolic prepreg resin system that is used in applications requiring a combination of fatigue and heat resistance. FM-5 is a toughened polyester system designed for table rolling applications such as fishing rods, antennae radomes and kayak paddle shafts. It offers precisely controlled flow, excellent resistance to bending set and extremely high flexural strength making it ideal for dynamic, low frequency applications. H826 is a silicone prepreg resin system designed to meet rigid requirements of MIL-R-25506, Type 1. It is used in radomes, nose cones, pressure bottles, aircraft ducting, thermal barriers, and covers/cases for high frequency equipment. LC163 is a heat stable silicone prepreg system that produces prepregs with low dielectric issues. LC311 is a low temperature curing variant of LC310. It is a high performance polyester prepreg that is used in a wide variety of applications including but not limited to: ballistics, structural components, recreation equipment and radomes. LC311 has an outstanding combination of strength and toughness. LC311 cures below 200ºF. LC907 is a high temperature curing, high performance bismaleimide (BMI) system. LC907 offers and excellent combination of strength, stiffness, and high glass transition temperature.
