In 2005, Lewcott began a change in strategic direction and formed the first of two strategic alliances. Stablcor Inc., a Calfiornia company with a patented process for a new product line called Stablcor,™ joined Lewcott in Carbon Core Laminates, LLC. The product, Stablcor,™ focuses on thermal management and structural problems evolving from the heat issues of current and future printed circuit boards. Lewcott is the manufacturer of the laminated products, Stablcor Inc. is responsible for the technical support and marketing, and Carbon Core Laminates, LLC has sales responsibility. A second strategic alliance was formed after development of a patented product, a photocatalytic oxidizer (PCO), with Genesis Air Products, a Texas corporation. In late 2006, GAP, LLC was formed as the owner of the patent and jointly owned by Genesis Air Products and Lewcott. The PCO is designed to eliminate airborne organics by catalytic oxidation.
