Research Direction
Current development efforts are focused primarily on composite prepreg and resin applications that diversify our business and provide value to our current and potential customers. Recent successes and activities include the development of:
- Low temperature curing epoxy systems, 200oF and lower, for both tooling, recreational and performance automotive applications.
- Aerospace structural composites.
- Interiors for commercial aircraft, shipboard and rail applications.
- Ablatives for rocket/missile nozzles and heat shields.
- Carbon/Carbon materials.
- Radome materials.
- Film adhesives.
- State-of-the-art armor for applications such as body armor, vehicle armor, and helmets.
- Electronic materials (Stablcor® carbon fiber cored laminates for thermal management, dimensional control and structural rigidity).
- Epoxy and Phenolic resins as well as other formulated resins for various applications.
- Filtration product development efforts involve exciting new technologies with Homeland Security and military applications, Genesis Air photo catalytic oxidation technology for destroying chemical/biological warfare agents.
